Buy A Toilet Bidet Online | Bathroom Bidet | Toilet Bidet Buying Guide

Four ways to add a bidet to the toilet you already have, and how to pick one.

A toilet bidet washes you with water after you use the toilet. You do not need a new toilet or a bathroom refit to have one. Every bidet we sell is made to go with the toilet you already have, and this page explains how they differ.

What a toilet bidet is

A bidet used to mean a separate basin next to the toilet. Now the same job is done by a sprayer on a hose beside the toilet, a plate with nozzles under your seat, or a seat with the bidet built in. You wash with water, then dry off with a little paper or a towel.

The options in our range

Hand held bidet sprayers

A sprayer on a braided hose that sits in a holder beside the toilet. A T-valve on the cold supply to your cistern sets the pressure and shuts the water off. You aim it yourself, which makes it the most flexible option, and it doubles as a nappy sprayer. We sell it in brushed stainless steel, gold and black.

Under seat bidet attachment

A slim plate that goes under the seat you already have. It has a rear nozzle and a front nozzle, one dial to choose between them and another for the pressure. It is hands free once set, and there is nothing to plug in.

Toilet seat and bidet

Your old seat comes off and this seat and lid bolt on in its place. It is non electric, with one lever on the side for a rear or front wash, a slow close lid and a seat that unclips for cleaning. It comes in a D shape and an O shape, so measure your toilet first.

Portable bidet sprayer

It carries its own 230ml of water and a battery that charges over USB. There is nothing to plumb in, so it suits hotels, holidays and any bathroom that is not yours to change.

Accessories

A hand shower on a hose for a basin, bath or sink tap, which connects through a diverter in place of the tap aerator. And reusable bum towels in a pack of five, because a bidet does the washing and you still have to dry.

How to choose

  • Can you reach the supply to your cistern? The sprayers, the attachment and the seat all connect there. If your cistern is boxed in behind a panel, speak to a plumber first, or start with the travel bidet.
  • Aim it, or sit and turn a dial? A hand held sprayer puts you in control of where the water goes. The attachment and the seat are hands free.
  • Keeping your seat? The attachment goes under your existing seat. The bidet seat replaces it.
  • Does the shape fit? For the seat, measure from the bolt holes to the front of the rim and check it against the D and O sizes on the product page.
  • Home or away? Away means the travel bidet.

Fitting and backflow

The sprayers, the attachment and the seat connect to the cold water supply that feeds your cistern, using the T-valve and braided hose in the kit. The cistern still fills and flushes as before.

Backflow is water running back into the supply pipe, and a bidet spray beside a toilet counts as a high backflow risk. Installation and backflow requirements apply: follow the product instructions and the water regulations where you live, and use a qualified plumber if you are unsure. We sell the kits only. We do not offer an installation service.

Questions people ask before they buy

Is the water warm? Not on the fitted bidets. They run on the cold supply to your cistern, and none of them heats the water. You can fill the travel bidet with warm water from a tap.

Do any of them need electricity? No. The sprayers, the attachment and the seat run on water pressure. The travel bidet has a rechargeable battery.

Will I still use toilet paper? A little, for drying. If you would rather not, that is what the bum towels are for.

Can children use it? Yes, anyone who uses the toilet on their own can. Start on a gentle setting.
