This policy explains how Bidet Co UK (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and browser storage on buttwasher.net. Please read it with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (local storage and session storage) does a similar job: it lets a site remember things on your device between pages and visits. UK law, through the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, covers both in the same way, and so does this policy.
Essential storage
The site needs these to work, so they do not need your consent. They are kept in your browser's local storage:
- Your basket: the items and quantities you have added.
- Your delivery choice: standard or express.
- Your discount code, if you have entered one.
- Your cookie choice: whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we do not ask on every page.
- Your order while you pay: when you go to Stripe or PayPal, your basket and the details you typed at checkout are held in your browser, then removed when you come back to our order confirmation page.
The order confirmation page also puts a short note in session storage, so the same order is not recorded twice if you refresh the page. Session storage clears when you close the tab. Local storage stays until you clear it in your browser.
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how people use the site, such as which pages they visit, how they found us and what device they use. It does not load unless you click Accept on our cookie banner. If you decline, or leave the banner alone, no analytics runs.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID. On Google's default settings these last up to two years. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy.
No advertising pixels
We do not run advertising pixels on this site. There is no Meta Pixel, Google Ads tag or Microsoft Advertising tag, and we do not use cookies to follow you with our ads on other websites.
Other services that load on our pages
- Google Fonts. Our pages load their fonts from Google's servers. Your browser asks Google for the font files, so Google receives your IP address.
- Chat window. A chat window run by a third-party provider loads on our pages so you can ask questions. The provider may store information in your browser to keep the chat working, and anything you type goes to that provider.
- Stripe and PayPal. When you pay, you move to Stripe's or PayPal's own pages. They set their own cookies there, under their own policies.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page to bring the banner back, then choose Accept or Decline. If you decline after accepting, analytics stops loading from the next page you open. Google Analytics cookies that were already set stay in your browser until they expire or you delete them.
You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you clear this site's data, your basket and your cookie choice are cleared too.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use cookies or browser storage, we will update this page and the date at the top.
