Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 September 2026. This policy is reviewed periodically; if anything here is unclear, ask us before you order.

This policy explains what personal data Bidet Co UK collects when you visit buttwasher.net or buy from us, what we do with it, and your rights. Bidet Co UK is a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, which is the controller of your data. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Questions about your data? Email theteam@buttwasher.net or call +66 98 391 3877. Our full company details are at the bottom of this page.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, any note you add, what you bought, the delivery option you chose, any discount code and the amount you paid.
  • When you pay: you enter your card or PayPal details on Stripe's or PayPal's own pages. We receive confirmation that the payment went through and a payment reference. We never see or store your full card number.
  • When you contact us: your email address and whatever you tell us. If you type into the chat window on our pages, your messages go to the company that runs that chat service.
  • When you browse, if you accept analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 records things like the pages you view, how you found the site, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. If you decline, it does not load.

We do not offer customer accounts, and we do not use advertising pixels. What is stored in your browser is listed in our Cookie Policy.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To process, pack, send and support your order, including any return or fault. Lawful basis: carrying out our contract with you.
  • To email you about your order, such as your order confirmation and tracking number. Lawful basis: carrying out our contract with you.
  • To answer your questions and complaints. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in looking after customers.
  • To keep accounting and tax records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the website secure. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
  • To see how the website is used, through Google Analytics 4. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To email past customers about offers, where the law allows it. Lawful basis: your consent, or our legitimate interest in telling customers about similar products. You can ask us to stop at any time.

We need your name, contact details and delivery address to fill an order. Anything else you give us is up to you.

Who we share it with

  • Stripe and PayPal, to take your payment.
  • The companies that run our order system and send our order emails.
  • Our fulfilment team and the delivery company, who get the details needed to pack and deliver your parcel.
  • Google, for analytics if you accept analytics cookies. Our pages also load fonts from Google, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
  • The company that runs the chat window, if you use it.
  • Professional advisers, or the police and other authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Data held outside the UK

Caruso Consulting Co Ltd is registered in Thailand, and some of the services we use hold data in other countries. UK data protection law still applies to how we use your data, wherever it is held. If you would like to know how a particular transfer is protected, email us and we will tell you.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal reasons, and to deal with any return or fault. We keep emails and chat messages for as long as we need them to deal with your question. When we no longer need data, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • get a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • have wrong or incomplete data corrected;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • ask us to limit how we use it;
  • object to how we use it (if you object to marketing, we will always stop);
  • get your data in a format you can pass on to someone else;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

Some rights have limits. For example, we must keep the order records the law requires, even if you ask us to delete them. To use any of your rights, email theteam@buttwasher.net. We will reply within one month, and there is normally no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Automated decisions

Stripe and PayPal may run automatic fraud checks when you pay. We do not make any other decisions about you by purely automated means.

Keeping your data safe

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and you pay on Stripe's and PayPal's own secure pages. We take reasonable steps to protect the data we hold, but no system connected to the internet can be made completely secure.

Children

Our store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top.
